OAR’s singular focus is in the area of applied research, which OAR defines as research that directly impacts the day-to-day quality of life of learners with autism. OAR’s continuing goal is to promote practices from evidence-based research. OAR funds research pilot studies that examine issues affecting children and adults with autism spectrum disorders as well as their parents, families, teachers, and service providers.
