OAR Awards Scholarship to 40 Students with Autism
The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) takes great pleasure in announcing the recipients of the Lisa Higgins Hussman Scholarships and Schwallie Family Scholarships for 2014. The two scholarships attracted 505 total applicants and the 40 awards totaling $120,000 are the most in any year since OAR started its scholarship program in 2007. Through this program, OAR has now provided scholarships to 156 students with autism diagnoses – a total financial contribution of $479,500.
New Research "Snapshots" Available
Since 2002, OAR has contributed more than $3 million to applied autism research. To make this important information more accessible, OAR has published easy-to-read “Snapshots” that explain the purpose, methodology, expected results, and relevance of funded studies currently in progress.
